Drunk Bicyclist With The Highest Level Of Intoxication Causes Crash In Central PA: Police

A bicyclist who was "visibly intoxicated" caused a crash in central Pennsylvania police said in a release on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Allana Marie Shirk, 35, of Columbia, PA, had five vodka shots prior to peddling along the 700 block of Ridge Avenue on Sept. 14 at approximately 8:43 p.m., according to area police. 

Columbia Borough police were called to scene of a crash in the area and found that Shirk had crashed into an F150 pickup truck and damaged it. 

She was sitting on the curb and admitted to drinking multiple shots in under 15 minutes, shortly before she went bicycling, police explained in the release. 

Shirk was transported to the police station and charged with a felony DUI/Highest Rate of Alcohol and a misdemeanor for DUI/General Impairment. 

Additional information about her bail or court dates has yet to be released. Shirk has a lengthy criminal record with multiple guilty plea negotiations for drugs and alcohol-related offenses, court records show.
